Ralcam Borescopes

Garage Lube has been appointed as the Southern Africa Distributors of Ralcam Products. Ralcam specialises in good quality, reasonably priced borescopes.

We supply 2-way and 4-way articulating borescopes. Our borescopes can be supplied with built-in screens. Some interface to a cellphone for the display and include a clamp to hold it in place. There is also an evaporator-cleaning borescope. The borescopes can be provided with different cable lengths and a range of camera diameters: from 8.5 mm; down to 3.9 mm, to reach into the smallest apertures. The IP67-rated probes are both waterproof and oilproof.

Applications

The borescopes are ideal for automotive applications. There are many places where inspection is challenging, and you need to strip components that obscure a suspected problem. Examine wiring behind the dash, belts and pulleys, ports, the crank shaft, and brake pads. You might have a leak but cannot see where it is.

You can use a borescope to inspect engine cylinders through the spark plug or glow-plug mounting hole. Examine the piston's crown, articulate, and look at the cylinder walls. The borescopes can bend backwards and even allow you to examine the valves and injector.

Many other applications exist, including industrial, commercial, and in the home. Plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians can use them to inspect distribution board wiring, conduits, pipes, drains, and ducts.
